‘The largest and most successful event since the beginning’. This was the general sentiment among exhibitors and participants of the 9th East Med Marine and Oil & Gas Exhibition which was organized by Fameline Holding Group on the 11th - 12th April 2019, at the GrandResort Hotel in Limassol. 90 exhibitors and more than 800 shipping and maritime professionals attended the conferences, workshops and exhibition. This year’s increased attendance verifies that the local shipping industry is growing and extends a vote of confidence for Cyprus macroeconomic stability.
During the 2-day event, customers and services providers had the opportunity to discuss and learn more about technological trends and how they impact the operations and efficiency of ships.
Among other important topics and presentations, special attention was given to the panel discussion on the topic around ‘’Technological Convergence in Maritime’’, organised by One Net, member of Fameline Holding Group. Experts around the world shared their insights enlightening us about the future and the capabilities of the shipping industry in relation to the technological developments. Furthermore the 7th Bunkernet Bunker Conference was hosted by East Med Expo, analysing the IMO sulphur cap regulation that is coming into force on January 1st, 2020.
The exhibition is being supported by the Cyprus Shipping Deputy Minister, the Cyprus Shipping Chamber, the Limassol Municipality, the Cyprus Oil & Gas Association and the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology (IMarEST).
